Anyone have teh 5.0Mustang rag that did the dyno test of a bunch of muffs a while back? I haev it somehwere, but dont want to dig for it.

I think the Borla Real Street was the power winner, followed by the Borla XS and Flowtech Terminator? (staright thru muff), the Hemi Superturbo was tested too I think. Came in better than most. Flows were alomst in last IIRC.

I did a search Muffler search and pulled up a stang forum that was talking about drone. It mentioned the different length mufflers ( the different size tail pipes weren't mentioned) the that the Mark VII used to reduce the drone.

Has anyone used/tried different case length mufflers with a 2.25 oir 2.5 cat back exhaust to reduce the mid RPM drone?

Someone posted the OEM muffler case lengths once. Anyone got dimensions or a stock set-up they can measure?

Nothing sounds better (to me) than 2 chamber Flowbastards with turndowns. Crappy video of my car. Don't mind the fireworks going off in the background. It was 2005 New Year's when I did it.

EDIT: http://media.putfile.com/HELMUT-RONER-on...me-burnout

Submitted video to putfile.com

I tried to on my Continental when I went to duals, but the muffler shop screwed up big time. The car is now getting essentially a stock dual exhaust system from a Mark VII just to be easier. :dunno:

I'm definitely trying it again but with a good shop on the LSC when I get the stock exhaust replaced.

1988 Mustang GT. I want a '91-'92 Lincoln Mark VII LSC, but can't afford to spend any money on a car right. Slowly building a 351W stroker and I'll be opening up those mufflers to three inches as well as the rest of the exhaust.

Nice.
Without tails, there is a huge difference in the external sound. Not as much reverb but definately a higher volume output when you stepped on it.
