anybody have wiring diagram for a stock sys
#1
looking for possible wiring problem. seems as though my 90lsc has been fitted with a wire adapter to fit/use a newer model stock radio. the radio powers up-but no sound? think it may be a remote amp wire problem(cross wired?) anyway, I have a 95 model cd unit IM trying to use and need the different wire connections or color codes for installing the newer unit to work in the 90 LSC. and yes the cd works (if I use the amp by-pass wire kit/for aftermarket radio installation)just plays real low vol. The amp (again fact JBL unit) works also- if i connect a jumper wire in trunk area on a 4 pin gray plug by left speaker?

It's up to you. But, if it were me I would just scrap the whole factory system and put in a aftermarket system with all new wires. Sorry I can't be of more help.

well...been playing around with wires in trunk, I can get amp to finally power-up if i apply a power source to the remote lead terminal. but now it makes a thump sound when I turn on/off radio power? too much voltage to remote turn on? anybody???

Yeah, roland you could just retain the factory 95 head unit, and Re-wire the whole system with a 4 channel aftermarket amp, but while you have the door panels off to re-wire, i would put new speakes in there, and add the rear ones as the budget allows...
