Maybe I can shed some light on your electrical woes. I have a large (11x17) fold out schematic of the '91 wiring diagram produced by Helm publishing that has been used heavily since 1998. Back then, I made quite a few changes to my '91 LSC. Those changes include a 96 Explorer GT40 crate motor, "B" cam, 1.7 Ford Crane Rockers with a T-5Z transmission, and a custom fab 8 point roll cage.

As far as electrical goes I wanted to move over to Mass Air but not lose any functionality in the car. I ended up running the A9P computer in the factory location with the stock speed density computer relocated to the glove box to continue handling cruise control duties. In order to prevent any crosstalk between the two computers, I used switching diodes on everything but the power leads.
I have bench repaired both overhead console displays as well as the trip computers. Probably the only system I haven't touched is the Supplemental Restraint System for obvious reasons.

What are you working on?

LLForman,

If you dont mind, I also listed this thread on LoL. Take a look there, and see what I posted. It pertains to the ECM, and is what you just decribed.
