SN95 brake upgrade TRUTH OR DARE
#1
SO....RE-building the DarkVII project from the ground up.
My biggest fear is brakes.
I have NOT FOUND a combo that is 100% tested and approved by the lincoln crowd.

Please tell me what you have, and what works.
SO far I have 01 GT booster/mc/pbr calipers from that same 01 car, willwood porp valve, stock rear calipers.
THis setup was junk...it did not stop the car...brake feel was mushy, peddle to floor before at least 1 wheel up front would lockup...not rear wheels locking ever.

I had the SVO booster (small balloon) thing and SVO MC, the brakes were to hard.

No speculation unless you know....any insight is great.  I really don;t want to experiment any more!

wish i could help Dan, but even i'm having issues with what i've got. i'm planning on going back to a ABS type setup using cobra/sn-95 abs controller. it'll be better sutied for what i plan for the car.

I have a 97 Cobra MC and booster (dual diaphragm). I also have 03 Cobra brake calipers front and rear. I was told you are looking to match the MC, booster, and calipers.

well seeing I had
01 GT booster/mc/pbr calipers
all from the same car....it should work out....but didn;t

however, I did not bleed the lines...I had  shop help me get things going...not sure how thorough they were.
Guess I will try it again
do it myself this time

I first tried a standard 93 GT booster and the braking was scary.  Could not lock em up, totally sucked.  Swapped to a 93 Cobra booster and NIGHT AND DAY difference in braking power.  I actually like the pedal feel with that booster.
