Mark VII Headlight Upgrade
#1
Back in the day, i remember allot of discussions/questions regarding this. So much in fact allot of people actually approached Daniel Stern Lighting and had numerous tech write ups. I'd like to see what everyone else is running. I'm about to go through the process of removing my headlights, sanding them down and removing the haze that burdens most Fords/Lincolns. I've seen HID and Xenon Kits but fully understand that these are almost as close to sealed beams as you can get. I know that an HID wouldn't cast properly with a good a quality cut off point. Plus, these are plastic lenses and I've seen what too much heat can do the housings as well as the wiring.

I'd like to go for something a bit different as an upgrade. What are you guys running? I wouldn't mind upgrading the wiring harness (eliminating the switched power) to improve and going with a hyper/crisp white with a bit of a blue hue to it.

Thanks!
Edward's

I did it years ago on here. lot of guys said it cant be done, well it bolts in. Looking head on it looks great, side view it sticks out about 1/4"
Inside by signals it sits about flush. You can't pull it in enough to make it sit flush all around as you dont have enough adjustment. But at least you can see at night. On Ebay 2 lights are under 70 shipped.

Who said it cannot be done? I took comparison pictures of it years ago. As you said, they bolt right in. They look goofy and out of place, but they are functional.

i knew it could be done, but looked goofy like stated. Hizhonor took pics years ago confirming it, but as the site has evolved those pics and countless info has been lost.i wanna say the mounting tab area could be massaged alil to sink in the lights some. if only a one piece housing could made.
