craigslist find
#1
In my habitual search of craigslist, I found a cowl hood that a guy said he had made for his Mark VII project by his buddy 10 years ago. The car is long gone but he found the hood in the rafters the other day and put it on CL. Of course I was expecting some Frankenstein chopped cowl from Summit bondoed on. Still I had to make the drive and check it out (the guy only posted pics of the corner of the hood. WTF? An indication that it was going to suck). Anyway I get there and the hood is a friggin' masterpiece: perfect body lines, 2" cowl, welded and prepped, ready for paint. $80 later. It's mine.

Good Job!
Around here all there ever is on Craig's list (for Mark VII's) are junkers being parted out and some knuckle head wanting too much for a high mileage ABS M/C.

Neat. I gave Tubby $200 for his glass 3" pc. and then spent 6 mos. waiting for it, another mo. reworking it to fit and mounting it.
You can use factory latch etc. ?
