Russ, maybe the steering rack travel limiters used on some of the Fox cars would help out your situation. They can be stacked as many as need on each side to limit the full lock of the steering. A couple of dollars each at the dealer.
Good job having the tenacity to complete this big conversion. Sounds like the results are worth it.
cheers

Russ, just to add, the Ford hardware number for those limiters is:
N804842-S
They come in a package of 4 pieces (but priced individually) ... so if your local dealer doesn't have them on the shelf, they may want you to take all 4. Anyway, they're only $2.75 each up here in Soviet Canuckistan, so they likely aren't any more than that down there.
cheers

Thanks again Ed! My son works for Ford, so I'll have him pick them up for me.
Have a great Holiday,

No problem. I'm a parts guy at a Ford dealer up here, so I try to help if I can when it comes to Ford OE part numbers. :crossed:

i would do this swap cuz i know of 2 95 stangs in the yard, but you you HAVE to change the inner tie rods, what if you just change the outter will it make up the length??? and if i do do the swap, would i have to do anything to the spindle to make like a newer dual piston caliper to fit a 95 spindle??

1) You can't just bolt the outers on....the SN95 outers are METRIC and the LSC is SAE. So, this is why the conversion listed above SAY YOU HAVE TO SWAP INNERS AS WELL.
2) I allready ground my spindles so the the 98+ PBR duel piston calipers will fit. The techarticals are ALL over the net...just search.

Quote:3) Lincoln factory wheels may not be able to use this setup, but research says the will
if you use the sn brakes no way you can use stock 16 wheel
I put 94-95 SN95 spindles and brakes on my Fairmont wagon. All other parts remained stock Fairmont or Fox Mustang. Wheels were Mk7 LSC turbines. I had absolutely no problems.
I don't see why you couldn't use stock Mk7 wheels when doing this swap on a Mk7.

I have been in the market for some 13" rotors and cobra calipers/brackets also. Figure I am going through all the work, might as well do it right...right! It will be hard as the PBR's I have now are fucking shinny after I fixed them up!!!! Like polished cool!
